Supporting Your Children

As a small, community-involved school, parents are encouraged to become members of The Milton I. Schwartz Hebrew Academy Parent Teacher’s Organization (PTO), which spearheads fundraisers, helps with field trips and recruits volunteers for various school activities.

Just as valued is supporting the Annual Fund. Tuition alone does not cover the expenses necessary for any school to successfully achieve its educational mission. No gift is too small.

The Board of Trustees works to keep tuition low to give all interested students the opportunity to attend. Paired with low tuition, financial assistance is made available to as many students in need as possible. Currently, tuition only covers 71% of our annual operating expenses. The balance comes from generous Annual Fund donors, who take pride in protecting all that The M.I.S. Hebrew Academy has worked so hard to build for our children. The pie charts illustrate our distribution of income in an average year.

Separately, our Capital Fund allows us to make campus improvements which are necessary to provide the best learning environment for your children.
